Traditional Pakistani Patchwork Meets Creative Upcycling

Got old clothes you no longer wear? Give them a new life!

Jugend- & Kulturprojekt e.V. (JKPeV) invites you to the next GreenHub workshop “Rilli Reborn”, where traditional Pakistani patchwork meets creative upcycling.

Discover the colourful tradition of Rilli-making from Sindh, Pakistan, in which fabric scraps are sewn together to create unique quilts and textiles.

Together, we’ll explore how this traditional craft offers new ways to creatively reuse old clothes and discarded fabrics.

Experiment with colourful fabric combinations, learn traditional patchwork sewing techniques, and create your own textile piece. Along the way, we’ll exchange ideas and get creative together.

Feel free to bring old clothes or fabric scraps if you’d like to give them a second life – but this is completely optional!

No prior sewing experience is required – just curiosity and a willingness to try something new.

The workshop will be held in English with German translation. All activities can be supported in both languages.
