DESCRIPTION:The ecological crisis is destroying entire ecosystems and trigg
 ering what may become one of the largest mass extinction events in the pla
 net’s history. As a result\, tens of millions of humans are already bein
 g killed every year\, and without a huge change billions of humans will di
 e in the next few decades.\n\nRecently\, we experienced 15 years of major 
 revolts and radical movements around the world\, yet far more people are i
 mmersed in despair and depression than in movements for revolution or soci
 al transformation.\n\nAt the height of our successes\, many of us witnesse
 d with confusion or powerlessness how so many of our comrades in the stree
 ts and in the assemblies turned towards authoritarian or reformist strateg
 ies that have always resulted in failure and betrayal when they were used 
 in the past. Many others distanced themselves from the struggle\, exhauste
 d by the poorly handled conflicts\, the egos\, the invisibilized and unque
 stionable norms that favored middle class values\, and the lack of care in
  the face of serious health problems\, trauma\, and repression.\n\nThis ta
 lk will look at fundamental questions of organization\, intergenerational 
 continuity\, and communal relations to help us build ecosystems of revolt 
 capable of supporting us and encouraging effective strategies for struggle
  in times of increasingly dangerous systemic upheaval and ecological crisi
 s.
