SUMMARY:Drag It Out and Punk It Up: A Workshop on Radical Political Art Mak
 ing
DESCRIPTION:Kukulida invites everyone to a workshop guided by Artiom Zavado
vsky and Cătălina Bucos a.k.a. Miss Verständnis and Günther Ding Dong\
, who will create and hold space for artistic investigations of the politi
cal. Participants are invited and encouraged to explore their own conditio
 ns\, sociopolitical realities\, environments\, gather their anger\, pain a
nd frustrations\, and cook them into (in)visible and (non)silent radical a
rtistic expressions by using public space as a starting point.\n\nThe numb
er of participants is limited. Participation is donation based. Please reg
ister by 23.7 by sending a message with a subject line “Workshop” to i
 nfo@kukulida.de.\n\nBIO:\nArtiom Zavadovsky is documentary practitioner\,
born in the USSR and raised in the Republic of Moldova\, who is currently
studying at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne. Artiom works interdisciplin
ary with performance\, documentary theatre\, filmmaking\, video art and dr
ag. Interests of their artistic practice include social\, political and ec
onomic realities of the marginalised\, radical queering as resistance\, an
d personal memories as an activation tool for collective consciousness. Ar
tiom is a member of the independent queer feminist theatre collective teat
ru-spălătorie from Chișinău.\n\nCătălina Bucos is a multimedia artis
t\, born and raised in the Republic of Moldova\, who is currently studying
at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne. Experiencing Moldova’s brutal tra
nsition from socialism to capitalism\, as well as the grim realities of Ge
rmany\, has naturally radicalised her. Cătălina's practice is deeply per
sonal and mostly a survival skill. In her works she summons the sirens\, w
 eirdos\, vampires\, the uncivilised\, the unseen\, inhumans – those who
misbehave and resist to amplify their truly radical voices. She actualises
crumbling red memories and creates complex\, compassionate and joyful wor
lds – the worlds that some day will crawl out of the shadows.
